A pioneer of the designer furniture sector for the past 25 years…

Founde by Paul Maitland Smith in 1996, a pioneering figure in the furniture industry who made a name for himself with his great works of design, Dream Home has been growing for the past 25 years to become a furniture, lighting and accessories brand associated with a large product range, modern production techniques, creativity and a balanced price/quality relationship, setting it apart from its competitors.
With its expertise in woodwork, high quality standards and exquisite workmanship, TRS, America’s most exclusive flooring brand, known for its passion for comfort and quality, was taken over by Theodore Alexander at the end of 2012 to create a new but experienced brand in upholstered furniture called TA UPHOLSTERY, becoming thus a reliable supplier of a wide range of decoration products. Theodore Alexander, renowned for its variety of brand-specific techniques, special wooden furniture designed using processed wood without paint and its emphasis on quality invigorated through creative designs, strengthens its already dominant position in the sector by producing precious antiques of the future.

Theodore Alexander believe that the person who owns a piece of Theodore Alexander furniture should take comfort in knowing the item can be viewed from any side and that we’ve made the piece using a time-honoured, handcrafted method that is the true mark of high quality.

Theodore Alexander, a top-quality furniture maker, has introduced the Keno Bros furniture collection, a furniture brand that twin brothers Leigh and Leslie Keno have created using their expertise in art and antique furniture. The collection, which reflects the passion of the twin brothers for antique and vintage-modern furniture and their strong emphasis on high quality standards, perfectly matches the elegance of the Theodore Alexander brand, a pioneering name in furniture and design, turning the whole experience of creating a new brand from scratch into a joyful experience. The collection is inspired by pieces from the 18th century to the mid-20th century and consists of over 40 eclectic and classical modern furniture and accessories. Bringing together traditional and modern collections, the brand appeals to a wide range of lifestyles, artistic sensitivities and even collectors.Exotic woodwork, flowing and organic forms, exquisite craftsmanship and elegant (but functional) details are the main features of the collection. The collection consists of tables, chairs, armchairs, buffets, cupboards, consoles, bookshelves and accessories.

The Keno brothers authored Hidden Treasures: Searching for Masterpieces of American Furniture. Beginning in 2001, they wrote monthly furniture and design columns for House Beautiful and This Old House magazines and are currently Editors at Large for Traditional Home magazine for which they write a monthly column. In 2005, the President awarded both Leigh and Leslie with the National Humanities Medal. Their television show Buried Treasure debuted on Fox in 2011.he Keno Bros. collection is a remarkable assortment of designs that distill the best ideas of earlier periods and recasts them for consumers of today through the practiced eyes of two of the most recognized and respected furniture appraisers in the world: Leigh and Leslie Keno.

Realizing American homes are a blend of old and new, the Kenos have focused on creating timeless classics with fresh, modern appeal and a level of fine craftsmanship rarely seen in present-day furniture production. Their vision from the outset was for their designs to become the heirlooms of tomorrow.

Michael Berman is one of the most respected designers of the country, combining his own unique vision and sophisticated style with unexaggerated charm. Berman’s works reflect his interest in history, art and architecture, especially the Deco period of the 30’s and 40’s dominated by film noir and designers such as Angelo Donghia, Billy Haines, Frances Elkins and Dorothy Draper. In his works, he blends the present time that is being experienced with eternity. Although influenced by conventional architectural forms and lines, the Empire State Building, Radio City Music Hall and the Chrysler Building, all of which carry influences of the skyscraper designs in the thirties, provide a feeling of warmth and accessibility.

As well as works for an elite group of customers, including famous figures from the world of entertainment and business from New York to Los Angeles, Berman also employed his creative vision for Michael Berman Limited Furniture for a furniture series, for an installation series called American Modern launched as Rohl and for a rug/carpet and textile series called Kravet, which will be soon be launched as Gotham.
In the spring of 2017, Berman released a sophisticated tile series called ‘Studio Moderne’ for Walker Zanger. His most recent work is the “Califolia” collection he released for Theodore Alexander. The collection includes clean lines, modern shapes, softly furnished upholstery, unique finishes and well-scaled rare pieces accompanied by a color palette describing the light airy style of southern California.
Born in Detroit, the city he grew up in, Berman lived in New York before moving to Los Angeles. In 1986 he founded his own company, Michael Berman.
